A significant portion comes from China, Malaysia, and Vietnam — countries that built dedicated furniture manufacturing ecosystems decades ago while India's furniture sector remained fragmented and under-organised. MAHA-GFC — Maharashtra Global Furniture City — is India's answer to that gap.
What Is MAHA-GFC?
MAHA-GFC is India's first integrated industrial park dedicated entirely to the furniture fraternity — manufacturers, raw material suppliers, hardware vendors, designers, exporters, and allied service providers — all under one ecosystem in Palghar, Maharashtra.
It is the flagship Phase-1 project of BCVPL, a DPIIT-recognized national initiative building integrated manufacturing clusters across India.
The project has received an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra signed at Davos, In-Principal Approval from the state government, and Single Window Clearance — making it one of the most government-backed private industrial cluster initiatives in the country.
